How to Insert a Horizontal Line (Divider) in the Content Editor

Horizontal lines help separate sections of content visually. To insert one:

  1. Place your cursor where you want the divider
  2. Click Horizontal Rule (the minus sign) in the toolbar, between Outdent and Insert Table
  3. A horizontal rule is inserted across the content width

When to use horizontal lines:

  • Separating different sections of an email
  • Creating visual breaks in long documents
  • Dividing header content from body content
  • Separating signature from message body

Tips:

  • Don't overuse - too many lines can look cluttered
  • Works well in emails and web content
  • The line extends the full width of the content area
