How to Make Text Bold, Italic, or Underlined in the Content Editor

To apply basic text formatting in the content editor:

  1. Select the text you want to format by clicking and dragging
  2. Click the appropriate toolbar button:
    • B (bold icon) - Makes text bold
    • I (italic icon) - Makes text italic
    • U (underline icon) - Underlines text

The start of the Content Editor formatting row: Bold, Italic, Underline, StrikeThrough, Superscript, Subscript, UPPERCASE, lowercase and Insert Symbol

Keyboard shortcuts:

  • Ctrl+B (Cmd+B on Mac) - Bold
  • Ctrl+I (Cmd+I on Mac) - Italic
  • Ctrl+U (Cmd+U on Mac) - Underline

Tips:

  • Click the same button again to remove the formatting. A button is highlighted while the text at your cursor already has that formatting
  • You can apply multiple formats to the same text (e.g., bold AND italic)
  • For strikethrough text, use the StrikeThrough button (S with a line through it)
  • These buttons do not work on an email button you inserted. Click the button to select it, then click Insert Button on the toolbar to change its text and style
