What are Program Statuses?

Program Status indicates where a program is in its lifecycle, from planning through completion.

Available Statuses

  • New: Program has been created but work has not started
  • Approved/In Spec: Program is approved and specifications are set
  • Assigned: Program has been assigned to a team member
  • In Process: Program is actively running
  • Waiting On Client/Customer: Paused pending external input
  • In Testing/QA: Program being evaluated or piloted
  • Needs Final Approval: Ready for final sign-off
  • On Hold: Program temporarily paused
  • Completed: Program has finished
  • Cancelled/Void: Program was cancelled

Status Best Practices

  • Keep statuses current to accurately reflect program state
  • Use On Hold for temporary pauses rather than deleting
  • Mark programs Completed when they finish (do not delete them, you will lose history)
  • Use status filters on the Program List to focus on active programs
