How to Reset Another User's Password

If a user forgets their password, an administrator can reset it:

  1. Click Settings (the gear at the top right), then System Users.
  2. Find the user who needs a password reset and open them.
  3. On the User Details page, find the User's Password field.

  4. Enter a new temporary password (at least 8 characters, including one number and one special character).
  5. Click Save All Changes & Exit, or Save All Changes & Continue to stay on the page.
  6. Give the new password to the user securely.

Best practice: Have the user change their password after logging in with the temporary one.

Self-service option: Users can also reset their own password by clicking Forgot Password? on the sign-in page and confirming their User ID. Argenta emails a reset link, good for 24 hours, to the address on file for that user.

Note: Only Master Admins and Subscription Admins can reset other users' passwords, because System Users opens only for those two roles.
