Setting User Permission
This Argenta Knowledge Base Article will focus on setting User Permissions for your organization.
User permissions are hierarchical and can be set at system level, module level, department level, all the way down to individual record level. The system/module/department permissions can only be set by Subscription and Master Administrators. Record permissions can be set by anyone that has access to the particular record.
To access User Permissions, log into your Argenta instance and click Subscription in the menu at the top right of the screen.

This will open the Subscriptions Settings workspace.
Click on the Systems User tab to open the list of system users for your organization.

The System User List gives you an overview of all current system users, whether they are Active (depending on filter) and what their administrative privileges are.

Additional functionality and visibility from this screen includes:
- Add New User
- Export to CSV
- Filter users by Active, Inactive, or All Users
- Search for system users by ID, Name, or Email
- View your subscription level and available users
- View total currently entered users (Active + Inactive) and total current active users
- Open User Record
- Unlock User Account
- Make User Inactive
Setting User Permission
Open the user record by clicking the corresponding "Open" icon. This opens the User Workspace, which is broken into two sections: the Constituent ID and the User Details.
Constituent ID
This section shows general contact information for the system user.

- To make changes to the user information, click Open Constituent Record. This will open the user's full constituent record in a new tab, where you can make the needed changes. Remember to save all changes before closing the constituent record.
- You're able to quickly identify where the user is affiliated throughout Argenta.
User Details
User Details is where the user permissions are ultimately set.
The top portion of the User Details section is where you enter the User's Status, ID, and Password, and use the dropdown menus to set the first level of permissions.
