Can users view files in Argenta without downloading them?
Whether a file opens in your browser or downloads is controlled by your browser settings, not by Argenta. Argenta delivers the file. Your browser decides what to do with it.
PDFs and Images
Most browsers can display these directly. Here's how to set that up:
Chrome: Go to Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings > Additional content settings > PDF documents, then select "Open PDFs in Chrome."
Edge and Firefox: Both have similar options in their PDF or file handling settings.
Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Browsers cannot display Office files natively, so these will always download. If you need to preview them in a browser, you can open them in OneDrive or the Office 365 web versions, but for most workflows that's more hassle than it's worth.
