If a constituent's engagement score seems lower than expected, here are the common reasons:
Time Period Filter:
- The report only counts activity within the selected time period
- A major donor from 2 years ago will show low Giving Score if you selected Last 12 Months
- Try expanding the time period to see historical engagement
Data Entry Issues:
- Volunteer hours may not have been logged in the system
- Event attendance may not have been marked
- Membership visits may not have been recorded
- Verify the underlying data is being entered consistently
Email Tracking:
- Email opens and clicks are only tracked for emails sent through Argenta
- External email systems will not contribute to Email Score
- Some email clients block tracking pixels, affecting open rates
Dimension Weights:
- Giving is weighted highest at 25%
- A volunteer with no donations will have a lower overall score
- This is intentional to prioritize financial sustainability
Inactive Status:
- Active volunteer/member status contributes significant points
- If someone is marked inactive, they lose those points even with historical activity
