Inventory Lending in Argenta helps you track equipment, supplies, and other items that are loaned out to staff, volunteers, or external parties. Know who has what and when it's due back.
What Inventory Lending Tracks
- Equipment loans (laptops, projectors, tools)
- Library or resource lending
- Event equipment checkouts
- Supplies given to volunteers
- Any item that needs to be returned
Accessing Inventory Lending
- Go to Inventory or Operations
- Click on Lending or Equipment Loans
- View current loans and history
Setting Up Lendable Items
- First, add the item to your Inventory
- Mark the item as Lendable if that option exists
- Set any lending rules (max loan period, etc.)
Creating a Loan Record
- Navigate to Lending
- Click Add New or Check Out
- Select the Item being loaned
- Select the Borrower (constituent)
- Enter the Loan Date
- Set the Due Date
- Add any notes or conditions
- Save the loan
Returning Items
- Find the loan record
- Click Return or Check In
- Enter the Return Date
- Note the condition upon return
- Save to close the loan
Tracking Overdue Items
- View overdue loans in the lending module
- Set up notifications for approaching due dates
- Generate reports of all outstanding loans
Viewing Loans on a Constituent Record
- Open the constituent record
- Look for an Items on Loan or Equipment tab
- See what items they currently have
