Follow-Up tasks in Argenta help you track action items and reminders on constituent records. Set due dates and get notified when follow-up is needed.
What Are Follow-Up Tasks?
Follow-Up tasks are reminders attached to records that help you remember to:
- Call a donor after a major gift
- Send requested information
- Check in with a volunteer
- Complete a pending action
Adding a Follow-Up Task
- Open any constituent record (Donor, Volunteer, Member, etc.)
- Look for the Follow-Up tab in the navigation
- Click Add New
- Enter a description of what needs to be done
- Set a Due Date
- Assign a team member (optional)
- Set the priority level
- Save the follow-up
Viewing Your Follow-Up Tasks
- Go to Workflow & Productivity > Follow-Up
- View all pending follow-up tasks
- Filter by due date, assigned user, or record type
- Click on a task to open the related record

If available on your dashboard:
- See upcoming follow-up tasks at a glance
- Quickly access records needing attention
- View overdue tasks highlighted
Completing a Follow-Up
- Open the follow-up task
- Mark it as Complete
- Add any notes about what was done
- The task moves to completed status

Best Practices
- Create follow-ups immediately when action is needed
- Set realistic due dates
- Review your follow-up list daily
- Add notes when completing to document what was done
- Reassign if you cannot complete
