Finding constituents in Argenta is easy using the search and filter features. Here are the different ways to locate a constituent record.
Quick Search from the Constituent List
- Go to Constituents from the main menu
- Use the search box at the top of the list
- Type the constituent's ID, name, or email address
- Click the search icon or press Enter
- Click on the result to open their record
Global Search
Argenta has a global search feature:
- Look for the search icon in the top navigation
- Enter the person's name or email
- Results show matches across all modules
Filtering the Constituent List
For more specific searches:
- Go to Constituents
- Click Filter List
- Use the available filters:
- Constituent Type (Individual, Organization, Household)
- Status (Active/Inactive)
- Affiliations (Donor, Volunteer, Member, etc.)
- Chapter, Division, Department
- Date ranges
- Click Filter List to apply
Finding a Constituent by Role
If you know the constituent's role, search within that module:
- Donors: Fundraising > Donors - search by donor name
- Volunteers: Volunteerism > Volunteers - search by volunteer name
- Members: Membership > Members - search by member name
- Event Guests: Event Management > Event Guests - search by name
Finding a Constituent by ID
If you have the constituent ID:
- Enter the ID number in the search box on the Constituent list
- The system will find the exact match
- Constituent IDs appear in URLs and on printed materials
Finding Recently Added Constituents
- Go to Constituents
- Sort by Date Created descending
- Recent entries appear at the top
Tips for Searching
- Partial name searches work - you don't need the full name
- Email searches find exact matches
- Phone number searches may require the exact format
- If you can't find someone, check for duplicate records or spelling variations
- Use the Duplicate Checker tool to find potential duplicates
