Setting an Ambassador
- Open the member record
- On Member Details, find Ambassador (Referred By)
- Click the lookup to search for the referring member
- Select the correct person
- Save
Who Can Be an Ambassador?
Typically, ambassadors are existing constituents—often current members, donors, or volunteers who introduced someone to your organization.
Reporting on Ambassadors
Use ambassador data to:
- List all members recruited by a specific person

Ambassador vs Solicitor
- Ambassador: Refers new members to the membership program
- Solicitor: Asks for donations (used in fundraising)
The same person could be both, but these track different types of engagement.
