Track promised donations that will be paid over time or at a future date.

What is a Pledge?

A pledge is a commitment to give that has not yet been fully paid:

  • Multi-year commitments
  • Monthly giving promises
  • Capital campaign pledges
  • Event pledges to be paid later

Creating a Pledge

  1. Navigate to Fundraising > Pledges
  2. Click Add New
  3. Select the pledger (constituent)
  4. Enter pledge details:
    • Total Pledge Amount: Full commitment
    • Pledge Date: When the commitment was made
    • Start Date: When payments begin
    • Fund and Campaign: Designation
  5. Set up payment schedule:
    • Payment Frequency: One-time, monthly, quarterly, annually
    • Number of Payments: How many installments
    • Payment Amount: Amount per installment
  6. Save

Tracking Pledge Payments

As payments are received:

  1. Record each donation
  2. Link the donation to the pledge
  3. The system tracks remaining balance

Pledge Status

  • Active: Payments expected/ongoing
  • Fulfilled: Paid in full
  • Written Off: Will not be collected

Pledge Reminders

Set up notifications to remind donors of upcoming pledge payments.
