Accessing Background Checks
- Open the volunteer record
- Click Background Checks in the workspace navigation
Recording a Background Check
- Click Add New
- Enter check details:
- Check Type: Criminal, reference, driving, etc.
- Provider/Vendor: Who performed the check
- Request Date: When it was initiated
- Completion Date: When results were received
- Expiration Date: When recheck is needed
- Result/Status: Clear, flagged, pending
- Add any notes about findings
- Upload supporting documentation
- Save

- Criminal Background: National, state, or county level
- Sex Offender Registry: Required for youth-serving organizations
- Driving Record: For volunteers who will drive
- Reference Checks: Verification from references
- Child Abuse Clearances: For child-serving roles
Managing Expirations

- Filter for volunteers needing rechecks
- Set up notifications before expiration
