Temporarily suspend a membership without making the member inactive.

When to Use Suspension

Suspension is appropriate when:

  • A member requests a temporary hold (illness, travel, financial hardship)
  • Disciplinary action requires a temporary suspension
  • Payment issues need resolution before reinstatement
  • The member will likely return but is not currently participating

Suspending a Member

  1. Open the member record
  2. Find the Suspension section on Member Details
  3. Check Is Suspended
  4. Enter Suspension Start Date
  5. Enter Suspension End Date (if known)
  6. Select a Suspension Reason
  7. Save

Suspension vs Inactive

  • Suspended: Temporary pause; member expected to return; term dates may pause
  • Inactive: Membership has ended; member did not renew or chose to leave

Ending a Suspension

  1. Open the member record
  2. Uncheck Is Suspended
  3. Clear or update the suspension dates
  4. Adjust term dates if the suspension affected their membership period
  5. Save

Reporting on Suspensions

Filter the member list by suspension status to see all currently suspended members and manage their return.
