A Grantor is an organization or entity that provides grant funding to your organization.
Examples of Grantors
- Private foundations (Ford Foundation, Gates Foundation)
- Community foundations
- Corporate giving programs
- Government agencies (federal, state, local)

Grantor vs Constituent
Grantors are separate from regular constituents because they represent funding relationships rather than individual donors.
