The Bidding tab lets you monitor every bid across your auction items in real time.
Accessing the Bidding View
- Open the auction
- Click Bidding in the workspace navigation
What You See
The Bidding tab lists every bid that has been placed, each showing:
- Auction item name
- Bidder name
- Bid amount
- Bid date and time
- Item value
Finding Bids
- Search: Filter by bidder name or item name
- Sort: Order by bid ID, date and time, bidder, item, item value, or bid amount
Where Bids Come From
Bids are placed by supporters on the public auction form, not entered by staff. Argenta records each bid, enforces the minimum next bid, and tracks the current high bidder on every item automatically.
Removing a Bid
If a bid needs to be removed, click the delete icon on that bid. Argenta deletes it and recalculates the item winning bid and next bid. Use this carefully, since it changes who is winning the item.
After Bidding Closes
- Bidding closes at the auction end date and time
- The highest valid bid on each item is the winner
- Review the winners, then set the auction status to Complete
