Making an auction public lets supporters view items and place bids through your public auction form.
Before Going Public
Make sure you have completed:
- Auction title and description
- Start and end dates and times
- At least one item set to display on the public form
- Public form design (optional but recommended)
Making the Auction Public
- Open the auction
- On the Auction Details tab, check Make Auction Public
- Save your changes
Sharing the Public Form
- In the auction workspace, open the Public Forms dropdown
- Click Open Public Auction Form to preview it
- Click Copy Public Auction Form Link to get the URL
- Share this link by email, social media, or your website
How Bidders Take Part
On the public form, supporters:
- Browse all items set to display on the public form
- View item photos and descriptions
- Register to bid with their name, email, and a card kept on file
- Place bids while bidding is open and receive email confirmations
Controlling Item Visibility
Each item has its own Display On Public Form switch. Only items with the switch on appear on the form. New items are shown by default.
