You can classify your Leads by their potential interaction with your organization using Lead Types. Lead Types are considered a Classification Code within Argenta. Your iteration of Argenta comes loaded with common Lead Types to help get you started, but you can expand upon them when or if needed.
You can add or delete any Lead Type by selecting Classification Codes from the Argenta main menu on the left side of the screen.
This will bring you into the full list of Customizable Classification Codes in Argenta. From here you will choose "Lead Types" from the codes listed.
This will show you your list of Lead Types. From here choose the "Add New" button to add a new Lead Type.
This will open the Add A New Lead Type screen, where you will enter a name for your new type.
Enter a name for your new code and then click the "Add This Classification Code" button to add the new code to your list.
View The Total Number of Records
Above the list is a records total that displays the total of all items currently displayed in the list. This is a quick and easy way to count list items.
Search The List
All classification code lists can be searched by the code's title or a partial title. Enter the title or partial for the code you are looking for into the search filed to search the list.
Export The List to Excel
Argenta contains many reports, charts, graphs, and statements, but it may be necessary to manipulate your own data. You can work with you data anyway you want by exporting it into Excel. Every list in Argenta has an "Export To Excel" button above the list. Clicking the button exports the data currently displayed into Excel. If you have filtered the data by specific criteria, only the resulting records from the filter will be exported.
To Remove A Lead Type
In the lead type list, click the corresponding "Delete" button to remove the code from your list. Lead types that are already in use cannot be deleted. You will receive an alert indicating that you cannot delete the lead type because it has been used to classify a lead/opportunity. If you still want to delete it, you must find the related lead/opportunities using the lead type, reclassifying those lead/opportunities, then trying again to delete the type.
