Leads/Prospects can be categorized using lead sources. Lead Source refers to the method by which the lead was acquired, for example if you hosted an open house and received contact information for three new potential donors, you could use "Event" as the lead source for the new donors. Later you can run reports to gain an understanding of which lead sources generate the most leads. Argenta comes loaded with common lead sources to help you get started, but you can change them at any time. You can add or delete any lead source by selecting Sales and Marketing > Lead Sources from the Argenta main menu on the left hand side of the screen.
View The Total Number of Records
Above every list is a pink label that displays the total of all items currently displayed in the list. This is a quick and easy way to count list items.
Search The List
All classification code lists can be searched by the code's title. Enter the title of the code you are looking for into the search field to search the list.
Export The List To Excel
Argenta contains many reports, charts, graphs and statements,
but it may be necessary to manipulate your own data. You can work with your data anyway you want by
exporting it to Excel. Every List in Argenta has an "Export List To Excel"
button above the list. Clicking the button exports the data currently
displayed in the list to Microsoft Excel. If you have filtered the data
by specific criteria, only the result set will be exported.
To Add A Lead Source
Click the "Add A New Lead Source" button above the list.
The "Add A New Lead Source" window will come up...
Type a name for your lead source and click the "Add This Lead Source" button.
The window will close and the new lead source will display in the list.
To Remove A Lead Source
In the lead source list, click the corresponding "Delete" button to remove the lead source from Argenta. Lead sources that are already in use cannot be deleted. You will receive an alert indicating that you cannot delete the lead source because it has been used to classify a lead . If you still want to delete it you can find the leads associated with it by filtering the lead list, reclassifying all associated leads, then trying again to delete the lead source.
