Lead Categories are used to identify what this potential lead is interested in doing for your organization. You can create these categories based on your organization needs to classify and track your leads. In addition, this is how the lead will convert when you go to convert the lead over to this constituent type. You can add Lead Categories two ways. The first is by using Classification codes. For classification code help please refer to KB Article - Classification Codes, Working with Lead Categories. The second way is by creating them within the Sales and Marketing module. To add a new Lead category use the Argenta main menu on the left hand side and select Sales and Marketing > Lead Categories.
This will open the Lead Categories screen where all your categories will be listed. From here select "Add New."
This will open the Add A New Category window.
From here you will type a name for your new category into the Lead Category field. Then click the "Add This Classification Code" to add the new category and be returned to your complete lead category listing.
