Add Clients

A Client is an individual, organization or household that uses your services or purchases your products.

 

Clients are first created as Constituents in Argenta and then assigned as Clients. From the Argenta main menu on the left hand side of the screen, choose Relationship Groups (CRM) or Sales and Marketing > Clients.

 

Click the “Add a New Client” button. This will bring up the Add a New Client window.

 

 

Select the corresponding Constituent. If the Constituent is already in the system, click the “Look Up” button and select a Constituent by searching and selecting them. If the Constituent is not in the system, you can add them by clicking the “Add a New Constituent” button (for help see KB Article, Add Constituents)

 

The Constituent ID field will display the ID for the selected Constituent, and their name will be displayed to the right of that. Make sure you have selected the Constituent you want to designate as a Client.

 

Select the date this client became active by using the “Active Date” date picker or just enter the date manually. This is field is required.

 

If your organization designates specific client codes, type this client’s code in the “Client Code” field. This field is not required.

 

Next, select the team member this client is assigned to from the “Assigned to (Team Member)” drop down list. If this Client is not assigned to a specific team member, select “Unassigned”. This is a required field.

 

If this client is associated with a specific campaign, select the campaign from the “Associated Campaign” drop down menu. If the Campaign is not in the system, you can add it by clicking the “Add New” button (for help see KB Article, Add Campaigns)

 

Then, select an “Industry Type” and “Lead Source” in the same manner. These fields are required.

 

All drop down lists in Argenta help to create comprehensive reports. Argenta comes loaded with predefined values for all drop down lists, but you can change them at any time. You can add or delete any of these values by selecting the corresponding section from the Argenta Main Menu. To update campaign, industry, or lead sources choose Campaign Categories, Industries, or Lead Sources respectively from the Sales and Marketing Menu.

 

Once you have completed the desired fields, you can log your first contact with the client by entering information into the Log First Contact field. Each Client has a contact log, which can contain as many items as needed. Adding a contact log item is not required.

 

You may also need to enter some notes about the new client. You can do so by entering text into the Notes field. Each Client has a note list, which can contain as many notes as needed. Notes is not a required field.

 

After reviewing the information entered, click the “Add this Client” button to finish. The window will close and you will find your new Client in the client list. Your Client has been added.
